Roc Hunter
A Harry Palmer fan with a schooling in 60s soul and R&B, Roc (born Stephen Bond) was one of Far Out’s in-house producers during the late '90s and early '00s. A lover of jazz, rare groove, house and disco, Roc is well known for his work in and around Brazilian music and has been contributing to the sound of Far Out since day one.
Roc’s inimitable programming and mixing can be heard on albums and single from the likes of Grupo Batuque, Friends From Rio, The Ipanemas, Azymuth, Mamond and Marcos Valle. With a fascination for music production and technology past and present he has mastered many different forms of multi-tracking and mixing. Roc has a love of the analogue sound but equally understands the convenience, speed and new possibilities made available in making music digitally.
